Making noise upon pressing start button

Lately my 2015 Macbook Pro is making a noise.

When I turn it on, I immediately hear a "crunching" sort of sound from the inside of the left side of the keyboard / speaker area.

I do not hear that sound at any other time.

Any ideas as to what could be the issue?

We had a client come in with the same issue. I disassembled it, cleaned it out and it seemed to work after that.
