After changing iPhone 3GS battery, the iPhone kept rebooting

After I installed the new OEM battery, my iphone started just fine. But after few minutes, it rebooted itself. Then it kept doing this again and again... Do you think I messed sth up when I replaced the battery??

Please help.

3GS are very finicky regarding batteries. You may need to try a new battery. But first try a Hard Reset, see if that works. If not try restoring firmware with iTunes, see if that works. If not you may need to try another new battery.

i'd agree with brad... send it back or put your old battery back in . If the problem goes away with the old battery then you need to order from a different lot.

I would say that the battery you have does not have a compatible APN with the phone you have. Is your 3gs relatively new (purchased within last 1.5 years)?

If so then you should get a battery with a current APN number. At unitediphonerepair.com they have the details on all the APN numbers and sell batteries that are compatible with the new model 3GS.

Same problem happened with me. I did what the fellows said and worked. I installed my old battery (2009 Iphone 3GS) and its working as before (not good, but at least it's not rebooting everytime).
