My charger cable is turning yellow after battery repair

Hi,

I have just changed my battery and everything when amazing but, I have noticed over the past month and a bit that my charger has turned yellow near the connector. Everything is functioning fine. The connector when charging gets very hot within 10 min of charging.

That is a symptom of overheating and the cable should be replaced. You can read more here.

The yellow color is indicative of oxidation, i.e. it is doing a slow burn. Please post a Coconut Battery image with the mag-safe connected.

I wonder if there is another problem.  If the problem didn’t start till you replaced the battery, then it could be related to the battery.  Is it possible that the battery is drawing too much current?  That could explain the “slow burn” that is now occurring.  Is the new battery an Apple battery, or is it an “after-market” battery?  If it is after-market, then it could be a defective battery.
