Ps4 model CUH-1115A Question

I bought this DongCoh Game Bar hard drive Cover Shell Replacement Faceplate for PS4 Console(Black)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019Q2... For this unit!

Can I use a 8TB Hard Drive with the CUH1115A

This says 1-6TB,but with updates,I think it increased. It is similar to the Nyko Data Bank!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Usually any HDD manufactured over 2TB wont physically fit in the device. you will need to verify the measurements of the drive you purchase, and make sure it fits within the PS4. That being said, a PS4 can read up to 8TB drives if they fit.

Remember I am using a Data bank that uses 3.5 in Hard Drives, the same as a desk top can use. My question is with my model CUH1115A what is the max TB I can go? Here is what Nyko says while using their Data Bank.*With the 3.50 firmware update for PS4™ we recommend up to 4TB for models below CUH-1200 and for models above CUH-1200, we recommend up to 8TB.. There have been updates since 3.50

PS4s allow for 8TB internal max, and 8TB External max with the newest updates according to multiple gaming forums. your bank must use a USB 3.0 Connection.

by

your bank specifically may or may not support 8TB. that is something you will have to discuss with the supplier

What about Nyko's claim *With the 3.50 firmware update for PS4™ we recommend up to 4TB for models below CUH-1200 and for models above CUH-1200, we recommend up to 8TB. ? I called them today and they said that this was tested by them. They also said that with the updates after 3.50,this did not change.

by

that's strictly hardware compatibility with this bank, to the model of playstation. this has nothing to do with the hardware limits of the PS4, but the hardware limits of your HDD bank.
