My MacBook Pro is not switching on, tried everyth
So my macbook stopped working a few days ago. The problem arised when one day, i left it un used for the whole day and while at night, I tried to switch it on, but it didn’t. I tried many keyboard combinations including safe boot, SMC, PRAM etc. But the shift ctrl option cmd and power combination worked and it switched on. But after 1 min of use, it shut down again, so i used the same combination again. After some time, it stablised and after a few hours, i switched it off without charging overnight.
Next day same problem, but none of the combinations worked, but it went back to work a few hours later with no problems in restarting. HOWEVER, the problem came up again and it didn’t switch on ever since. There was no liquid damage or falls but I did suspect humidity problems. The shift ctrl option and power changes power light indicator from amber to green when released after 10 secs as of now (the macbook charges normally) as of the current state of the macbook. I have bought a torx screw kit to look around the back. This is what ive tried till now.
All key combinations ( almost every permutations)
Power cycle reset
Kept it under air conditioning with the backopen to release humidity
Cleaned the logic board with isopropyl alcohol
Tried the power pads and shorting the keyboard ribbon connector to switch on
Removing and re inserting the battery connector
I havent tried removing any component wires to test where the fault is and also the isnt an apple authorised centre near me now. The smc reset causes the indicator colour to change, so is a logic board issue ruled out? Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks!
Edit
I just came from a cold dry place to a more humid place for the holidays, so i guess humidity may have been a factor but this only started a couple of days after I arrived.
Is this a good question?
