I have a kitchenaid KBFS22EWMS7 refrigerator freezer warm not cooling

I have a kitchenaid refrigerator freezer model KBFS22EWMS7. A couple of days ago it started to get warm in the fridge and freezer. I checked the condenser coil. Dirty, cleaned. Still not cooling. I replaced the run capacitor, still not cooling. The condenser and evaporator fans are working. Compressor is working, controls are working. Nothing is iced up. The evaporator is clean and just cool to the touch and wet. I disconnected the defrost element. Defrost tstat appears to be stuck closed. Disconnected in hope that something would cool down. Please help. Thank You.

Hi @iradmanson ,

If the compressor is running and the evaporator is not getting icy cold to the touch then there is a problem with the "sealed system", i.e. compressor, a lack of refrigerant or perhaps a faulty or clogged dryer.

You may have to get the sealed system pressure tested to find out what the problem is.
