machine won't work or boot up

netbook won't power up even though the charger plug in, but power leds won't lit. It does lits on, but then it wouldn't stay on and there is a tiny relay sound that comes from the machine.This happens when I plug the charger connector, the led comes on and then goes off, it does not remains on and there is this sound like a "click". When I press and hold down the power button, the clicking sound goes faster, but is not coming from the HDD. the HDD is ok, but it won't spin. The computer was manufactured on 09/03.

joebasso, any more info on your netbook would be appreciated. What model is it and what OS are you running on it.

Thanks for the help, it helped me to better address the issue. I checked the power supply as one of possible problems and I found that particular netbook to be a power hog machine. It uses 19 volts DC to operate and charge the battery. I took it the a nearby Compusa store and BAM! They hooked up to new power supply and it worked. The original power supply was not working, it was not producing the 19 volts to startup the machine and the charging operation. Anyway thanks for the help.

My first guess would be that the Net book is overheating or has bad ram. when you turn the net book on look at the fan and ensure it is spinning, if it isn't take it apart and remove the lint that is clogging the fan. it happens to most notebooks and net books with any age from placing them in your lap.
