How to disassemble power button

I have an entire iphone x disassembled and ready to be reassembled in a new chassis. But I don't know how to remove the power and volume buttons from the old chassis. Does anyone know how to safely remove them?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I am in a similar boat. There is a papule (for lack of a better word) on the volume flex that needs to be compressed by the button we see on the frame. But, the new buttons for the chassis I ordered aren't compressing that little papule. I tried wedging a cut up piece of guitar pick in between the papule and the button but it didn't resolve the issue. This guide only shows how to remove the flex, not how to transfer the buttons that sit in the frame.

The buttons have small, metal brackets inside of them and then a small hinge that rests around it. I think the problem listed here is that those components attached to the buttons need to be transferred in order for the buttons to interact with the flex properly.
