What are the most common causes of MacBook deaths?

Having had this device for only 3 years and now, nothing. Replaced the battery, went through every keystroke combination, and every other simple fix - nothing.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

There is always some clue before failure. Did you bang or drop the system? Did you have a liquid spill at some pointing into the keyboard or trackpad? It could have been a year ago!

I would start by opening the system and inspect things using the IFIXIT guide pictures compare your system do they look the same? Do you see something damaged or missing? MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Mid 2014 Logic Board Replacement

As far as I can remember, I have never spilled liquid nor dropped it. I examined the board (without disassembly), and see nothing that would indicate a problem (no scorches, loose cabling, chip damage, etc.).

You'll need to pop the logic board out as the other side has still more stuff!
