Can I use a SSD 960 EVO 1TB/2TB on my MacBook Pro 15" Retina Mid 2012?

Hi guys,

I was trying to find the answer for this online but I can't.

I saw that the EVO 960 have much better results than the EVO 850. My question is if it's possible to use it on my Macbook Pro 15" Retina MID 2012?

I hope that you guys can help me.

Thanks

Marco Domingos

You need to use the custom Apple SSD's as listed here: The Ultimate Guide to Apple’s Proprietary SSDs

Or use either:

You can use a SSD of your choice like your favorite EVO 960. Replace it with your old and reinstall mac os. that will work.

Sorry guys a square peg won't fit a round hole ;-{

Apple uses a custom connector and SSD! You really can't use a M.2 SSD as a replacement.

Most of the adapters some people have made are not very good. They are not well made and tend to create a lot of CRC errors which both cuts the performance and shortens the life of the SSD.
