After replacing the LCD screen the phone does not turn on

I replaced the the lcd and digitalizer and when i turned it on all the see is a white screen with colored lines running vertical through the screen. I took off the Lcd and digitalizer again to check the connection and it does not work. Can any one please help me?

if you are sure you have the right parts and you have cleaned the connections, repeat putting flex back on. try holding home and power for 10 seconds until apple appears then release buttons and allow phone to reboot.. this may force the phone to recognise the new hardware. Just check your order and make sure you got the parts for a 3g...

if that doesn't work i'd put the old lcd in and see that it is making same problem as before, if it is maybe you have broken another lcd...
