lasptop won't recognise battery
Brand new Samsung battery fitted correctly.Laptop says 'battery not connected'.........even after being left on the charger for 24 hours.

Did you buy an aftermarket battery, or a Samsung battery? Sometimes a computer or a printer won't work if you install "unauthorized" parts (e.g. battery, ink cartridge).
