Paint on Samsung Galaxy S9?

Hello. I brought a new S9 almost a month ago. I have noticed that the paint from the fingerprint sensor and under the earspeaker has came off and shows a white (or grey) colour. It can only be seen in bright areas and a certain angle, is there anyway I can fix this without having any more issues? It shouldn't be happening as I have a screen protector and case. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

are you sure its not air getting under the screen protector around them areas ?

Yes. I have taken off the case and screen protector to check. The paint has came off from the fingerprint sensor and under the ear speaker. I think its happening from taking the phone in and out of my pocket. The white/silver part can be seen in light. How can I fix this? As I like my phone to be good condition. Thanks

you will probably need to replace those parts

by

Will I be able to colour it in with a black marker or something else? There's no point replacing those parts as the phone is new. Thanks

by

no because a black marker will look more like a blueish colour, iv tried before with a sharpie on a phone the coloured coating peeled off on

If your talking about the back glass as far as the paint chipping. Some repair shops do a complimentary swap of the back glass if you are under Samsung warranty.

The paint has came off abit so its tiny. But it can be seen in bright areas if closely looked at. Also the same with the paint under the ear speaker. I think its from taking my phone in and out of my pocket but is a bit strange as I have a screen protector and case so it shouldn't be happening. I do have warranty but I guess I will have to deal with it and move on. I might get a skin for my phone to prevent any more issues.
