touch screen problem when on charger

when the ipad is on a charger the touch screen does not respond correctly. When I touch the screen, the ipad reacts as if i touch another part of the screen.

The touch screen reacts correctly when the ipad is not on the charger.

Edit: Probably just an issue caused by a combination cheap wall chargers and cables.

HI Ben, thanks for your reply. As far as I know the screen is original. You mention that this is a common issue but I did not find the same issue on the net. Should the tape be placed inside?

I was wrong, the issue with touch screen and fixing it with kapton / brown tape only applies to the iPad Mini model.

Are you using an original wall charger (iPad wall charger) or a good wall charger and good cable?

I'd like to add that the touch screen assembly has probably been replaced before and that the replacement is susceptible to bad charges.

So either like @benjamen50 said: bad cable or charger and cable, OR cheap touch screen, OR all of the above.

If the touch screen has never been replaced, then the cable and possibly charger or both that your are using must be extremely bad quality to cause this issue.
