Why is samsung music incompatible with my device?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime which I bought aprox. 2 years ago. It still runs with Android 5.1.1. Till that moment I used Play Music. When I tried to download Samsung Music from Play Store, it didn't even let me download because my device was incompatible with that version. In the description of the app, it says that is compatible with Android 5.0, 6.0, 7.0. I have tried to download it by AC Market but when it downloaded the installation was blocked and a "action blocked" table popped up. Idk what to do. Please help .

In the end I found the samsung music app on ac market and installed it. After that, once I launch it, the app crushes and a table pops up that says: "unfortunately, music stopped"

You don't want it anyway. It's a terrible battery hog. I disable it by removing the permission that lets it access Storage. Use a different player app, one that does not drain your battery horrendously while the phone is supposedly in sleeping.

Hi,

Can you download other "compatible" apps OK from the Play Store?

If not try updating the Play Store app in your phone.

Open the Play Store app, tap Menu options, then tap Settings, scroll down to Build Number, tap to enter.

If an update is available, tap it and follow the prompts.

Once updated, restart the phone and then try to download the app that you want.
