Bad DC-in port - not part of a power board though.

Hi, The DC-in port is not part of a separate power board on my G4 Powerbook Titanium, model number M5884. The DC-in port is soldered directly to the main board. Do you carry the DC-in port separate from the power board (saw the port as part of the power board on this site)?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'm new to this site as well and I don't want to take away a possible sale from this site, but if you don't get an answer in a few days post your serial number and i'll help you out.

Almost no one that actually works for iFixit posts on the answers section very often. If you click on the Users tab above, most of the iFixit folks pictures are in sepia. iFixit just sells parts they don't do the work. Those high rating they have are for writing manuals not answering questions. My first loyalty is to helping people. If they do need a part, I'll direct them to the ones on iFixit because I know they've been tested (if the price isn't to high).

Ok, i think i'm getting a better understanding of how this place works. I have no intention on selling any parts to anyone but would supply a link to where they could get what they are looking for. But if they have the parts here at iFixit, then I have no need to point someone to the part offsite. Mayer, I would like to speak with you regarding this site. Don't know if you saw my other post, but I did send you and email whether you got it or not is unknown. Send me an email to my address in my profile and i'll get in touch with you.
