Unable to install Windows 7 X64 on my MacBook 5,5

I have tried every possible way to instal Windows 7 X64 bit on this system, but it ends up with black screen only, I tried to make pure EFI boot it booted but it got freezes up after Windows is loading files. Windows 8 and 10 boot and install successfully but it has problems with the Nvidia 9600m driver, it gets stuck in boot loop after this driver installation, tried EFI shell tweaks with ReFLT, nothing worked.

I'm frustrated, help.

Widows 7 is supported but you require the 32-bit version on your older Core2Duo CPU as your system is only 32-bit clean.

"What are the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 7?

The minimum requirements for Windows 7 are modest by today's standards:

  • 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) -- just for the OS, not applications or data files
  • DirectX 9 graphics processor with Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 1.0 or higher
  • Internet access

As with any Windows-based OS, a faster processor, more RAM and ample free hard drive space generally mean a better computing experience. RAM is especially important. For example, upgrading the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB on a 32-bit system should give the end user a dramatic increase in responsiveness and apparent speed.

Microsoft has an Upgrade Advisor tool to assess whether a system is prepared for a Windows 7 installation. You can obtain the Upgrade Advisor from the Microsoft Download Center, or visit the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Web page.

For best results, match a computer's processor to the OS. A 32-bit computer should run a 32-bit OS, and it can't run a 64-bit OS. However, you can run either OS on a 64-bit computer. If your 64-bit computer has 4 GB or more of RAM, and doesn't run older, specialized 32-bit software or drivers, go with the 64-bit OS to get the best performance."

Thanks for your answer dan, i have both 32 bit and 64 bit installation iso, of all windows mostly, and this mac accepts, Windows 10 X64 and 8.1 X64 bit, this mac does not accept 32 bit version discs. problem i faced on windows 10 and 8.1 64 bit was the nvidia driver, after installation of the nvidia driver the windows 8.1 and 10 64bit both get's stuck in bootloop mode, but somehow i have booted them both in safe mode, in device manager i saw, nvidia driver installed, but the generic pnp monitor had and exclamation mark. as far as i can see my mac can only boot X64 which is efi. please suggest a related solution.

Are you sure you've got your versions straight?? This system is not 64bit clean as far as I remember.

It's been awhile since I've tried running Windows on this MacBook Pro series. But, I could swear we had both Windows 6 & 7 running on them and it was 32bit only. We also didn't do any messing about with the EFI, this was with straight Yosemite & El Capitan and the version of BootCamp that they supported.

I would recommend you boost your RAM to 8 GB as 4 GB is on the low side if you are running BootCamp.

What is the Mac OS you are using and what BootCamp release?

i am using mac os x 10.8.5(12F45)

i am 101% sure about this, system is only accepting X64 bit OS. see this pic.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zO1uYM8...

this is windows 10 X64 bit dvd. when i click on efi dvd boot, it accepts but it doesn't accept on legacy mode.

i am planning for ram upgrade, but i don't think that's the issue, i have installed windows on uncountable machines, but ram was never the issue, windows 7 worked on 1gb ram. i have successfully installed windows 8.1 & 10 x64 on this machine it runs normally, but graphics driver is important which have issue with this both os, i have mentioned the issue already, which i have heard, everything works perfectly only on windows 7.

Ah! You are running too old a Mac OS-X for Windows 7!! You need to get up to Yosemite or better yet El Capitan, As you need a newer version of BootCamp version that runs on these newer OS's.

The startup window in your pic is not driven from the OS, its within the EFI!

Also note you have a red line on the display which is likely a LCD failure (TAB error). While not a killer issue now, you may need a new display soon.

yes its an old mac, just found it rusting, so I thought of equipping it for a small purpose and also useful os is windows, i will try EL Captain's boot camp and report back, thanks for your answer. and yes when i try it with 32bit disc, everything becomes blank no bootup. redline on the screen i am aware of that. i have planned to replace the old things in it. but i will do that only when this macbook is useful to me.
