Vizio sound bar wireless subwoofer won't connect

I have a Vizio soundbar with a wireless subwoofer. Model: S3821w-C0.

In past few weeks the subwoofer would not connect when turning on soundbar, I'd turn it off and back on again then it would work. Now though not at all. I've ran through the pairing operation as per Vizio and still no go. What I've noticed is that the pairing light on the soundbar itself stays lit all the time, even when pressing the pairing button for 5 seconds. On subwoofer the light will blink faster when pairing button is pressed. I've tried unplugging both and starting over, nothing. I'm guessing it's in the soundbar itself.
