Black screen after restart

Hello

I got problem with my iMac 27” A1312

Basically when powering on in the morning screen working ok and iMac working as normal ,but after restart screen stays black you can hear it starting but nothing on screen

Is it graphic chip needs reballing or backlight bird faulty as I’ve read a lot about it and that’s the 2 options I think

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

It sounds like your LED driver board needs replacing. Its the source for the backlight LED's power. Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2309 and 2374 LED Driver Board Replacement and here's the needed part: LED Driver Board Apple P/N 661-5311

To verify use an external monitor if that looks good when your internal goes out then that proves it. You can also use a flashlight resting on the display at a sharp angle you should see the faint outline of your desktop icons.

I tought it will be graphic chip because when Mac is cold ( morning or after rest ) it is working ok but when you try restart after usage it goes to black screen

Sometimes need to wait like 10 seconds and screen apears but usually stays black

Anyway thanks for answer I will have a look in to it
