I have a hitachi model le55a6r9a and I did the flash light test I can see imagines with the flash light. How do I fix my backlight and how are is it to fix

@tvjunkie1000 most common reason for backlight failure is a bad power board or a failed backlight array (Hitachi's LE55A6R9 is known to have failed backlight arrays). you will have to remove the back of your TV and take a look at the boards and the wiring. check for obvious damaged components like leaking or domed looking capacitors. Post some images of your boards etc. with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Once the proper board has been identified, repair is straightforward and can be done with just a few basic hand tools. To test your boards you would need a multimeter etc. If it is a failed backlight array it's a bit trickier but still doable. Check this video and see if you would be up to it. I'd suggest to start off with the power board ~$50USD if you want to replace it. If that does not fix it, you'd most likely need new backlight strips.

the thermal paste on the components on the last heatsink (near the right of power connector on your power board) looks a bit odd. Any chance you can get a clear image of those?
