Does this iPhone 6 power ribbon look like it will still work?

I was replacing the battery in a cell phone as a small project and I accidentally struck the power button cable with a butter knife (high tech, I know). Visually the copper itself looks intact, however the material that the ribbon itself is made out of has been rubbed off. From its physical appearance, does the cable look like it needs to be replaced?

should be ok, just put a bit of electrical tape over it before putting the battery in

Based on your picture, it doesn't appear to be damaged. The black coating is very delicate and scratches off very easily but as long as the integrity of the traces is good, then your fine. You could put a small piece of Kapton tape over it to insure that nothing gets shorted when powered.
