Screen won't come on?

I changed the back housing on my phone two days ago. Everything worked fine for about 30 mins. The ear piece stopped working, so I thought I would take it apart to look at it again make sure I put everything back in the right place and hooked it all up tight. Took the screen off and when I went to put it back together the screen did not work. It's coming on when I hook it up to my computer because it's making noises but I can't get my screen on!! I really need help!! This is my life line. I use my phone for everything!! PLEASE help me.

Try resetting the phone... hold home and power for 10 seconds until apple appears, release buttons and allow to reboot. If that doesn't work then i'd open the phone again and take connector no 1 off and replace it. this is the lcd connection. If that doesn't work then look at connection no 4 for the dock, and check the screws under the don't remove sticker are in enough to provide good contact with battery prongs. Let us know how you get on.

My power button doesn't work, hasn't in a while but never really needed it so I didn't mess with it. I just tried the no 4 and the screw and nothing so I'm guessing that it's the no 1 connection. I'll let you know when I get it replaced if it works. Thank you for the information.

i don't mean buy a new one... i mean unplug it and plug it back in! sorry for being misleading.

Well I'm not going to mess with it and just get a new phone. I've tired to unplug it one to many times. I think I broke the connector, so I will need a whole new LCD part and probably a new ear piece. I just don't have the patients to mess with it anymore. I need a new one anyway, the power button doesn't work and now the screen. It's time. But thank you for your time and information. I really do appreciate it.

Fair enough. Most times these 2 problems are just that the connections aren't on right. No.1 makes a sort of pop feel when it's right. Occassionally you think it's on and just as you put the front on it pops off again! The earpiece is no 3... It slides in until about 1mm before white line on flex. I can understand having repaired these things many times just how frustrating it can be. Depends how much you want the phone fixed. You should easily get some money selling as spares or repairs on eBay ... Someone can fix this for about $10 if the LCD is ok!

Try lifting the logic board off the battery for a few seconds, then putting the phone back together. In my experience, this can fix a non-working display. Something about the logic board needing to power cycle.
