Shorted baseband > New baseband reprogram

Hey people i got this iphone 7 for data recovery. i found out that the baseband is shorted. So i took of the baseband and now the short is gone. i want to buy the 1000s pro and a baseband module to reprogram a new baseband. But i,m not sure how they do it. below i got a link to the product:

Here a link of the video:

My question is: how does the machine read the baseband serial. do you take of the baseband first and then put the motherboard in the machine and the machine reads the pins on the motherboard? or ? i cant find anything on the internet and nobody can help me. i hope someone knows more about this.

Greetings,

Thies Baarsma

This machine only programs the Baseband EEPROM, not the Baseband IC itself. If you have a shorted BB CPU, then there's nothing you can do to repair/reprogram it.

Not any more! It was recently discovered (credit to Jessa Jones video), that to get the data off, you can boot the phone with a doaner baseband CPU that is working. No, phone calls will not work and im not sure if restoring will work - but you can boot and get a path to data! :) Best of luck!

Hey @joesipaq, thanks for the update. That doesn't change the answer to the OP's question though, they were asking if the BB can be programmed in order to repair the phone...it still can't :(.

True, it isn't a solution to make the phone 100% but I saw the "Hey people i got this iphone 7 for data recovery." And kinda assumed that was the main goal of his post that was leading into the other questions about programming the bb. I thought it would be some valuable information for his situation to get data off :) I wish we could program the baseband... That would be great -_-

Joseph- where can I take my iPhone for repair where the person has the skill to "boot the phone with a doaner baseband" in order to extract the data? My phone stopped working in the middle of an update and now shows error 47, which I believe relates to a baseband issue. At this point, we just want the data off the phone since it had been quite a while since the last back up. We are hopeful this is a potential fix, but I am not savvy enough to pull off such a repair. I live in NorCal near Sacramento. Any suggestions who could repair?

@iphone7problem look locally for a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs. Ideally, you want to find someone local but good workmanship trumps locality. There are many shops worldwide that do this so you shouldn't have any problems finding them. Talk to them and ask how they do their work. Be wary of those who say "no problem" without much else.

If you can't find one locally, then consider mail-in repair. There are several reputable micro-solderers patrolling this forum.

BBCPU can`t be reprogrammed that is unique by one.You can only reprogram BBEEPROM. If BBCPU was reprogram able 100% iPhone 7 & 7Plus on functioning till days.
