I have a A490 camera which is not mounting on my Mac nor is my A480(yes,i have 2 of these but one is a different model)
I am using the USB that came with my Ps3 which does work
My parents have a S2IS which worked fine with non-canon cables for data
What is wrong with my cameras?

this happened to me when i got the mac... my camera was running on old drivers and so the card was an old format the mac couldn't see. download the pics if you can onto another pc that sees the camera (i used my old laptop that i knew recognised the camera) then downloaded the latest driver for the camera, reformatted the memory disk and now everything is hunkydory.... mac can see camera!!!

so how come i still have no idea how to use 90% of this mac's functions?? still love it though.
Could it be because you donate a significant amount of your time helping others instead of devoting it to learning your Mac's ? Anyways + for your answer.
