Can I replace the RAM?

8 gb of 16 gb RAM do not work on my macbook pro, so i want to replace the 8 gb RAM with the new RAM.

Can i replace only the RAM or Should I replace the entire logic motherboard?

Are you sure it came with 16GB of RAM?

Standard RAM:16 GBMaximum RAM:16 GB

Details:16 GB of RAM is onboard and cannot be upgraded to a higher capacity at the initial time of system purchase or later.

It’s not worth $800 to replace the logic board. You might as well get a new Mac. The Rossmann Group can replace the RAM chips on the logic board since they are soldered to the logic board. It’s also possible that it isn’t the RAM chips and something else is happening.
