How to replace touch bar screen? Touch bar still responds to touch.

I poured some water on my touch bar area and after a whole night until I found it. The only problem is the touch bar not showing anything and it can still respond to touch. There is not a single scratch except that. So I went to Genius Bar, they charged me $1300! Any one got any idea for that? It is possible only to replace the touch bar screen?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The touch bar can be purchased separately without the top case as a brand new unit. Comes with adhesive on the bottom and a detachable flex cable. The touch bar connects to two ports of the logic board. One outputs power and display to the LED, the other receives input from the touch bar.

I am able to get the parts if anyone needs it.

Try Aliexpress. If not let me have your address and I can see if I can ship the part to your location. Payment via Paypal.

Any chance you are still answering responses? I am in need of the touch input ribbon cable. From what I can tell it doesn't seem possible to replace just the cable though that would be ideal. It displays properly. It looks like ifixit has the cable for the display but not touch. I came across an assembly here that looks to be the right part, https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LED-Touch-B... , but I would love to not have to replace the whole thing.

Don't see any reason why if you can get your hands on a replacement touchbar that you couldn't replace it yourself. It is just that being a relatively new model there are not a lot of parts to be had. Here is the teardown that shows you how to remove the touchbar: MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar Teardown

I cant even find a place to buy touch bar screen. Also I'm not sure do I have to replace a new T.B. screen.

Pretty sure the touch bar is replaced as a complete unit. The only parts I've seen that would probably work for you are from powerbookmedic dot com where you can buy a used top case. You could either swap the entire top case, or keep your known battery, etc. and just salvage the touch bar from it. Pricey but still a heck of a lot less than the $1300 geniuses wanted from you. Over time you'll probably see individual parts trickle into the market...like just the touch bar. But it's anyone's guess how soon that will happen.

Remove the logic board, remove the touch ID button and the touchbar cable is secured with two T4 screws. Use slow heat to dissolve the touchbar adhesive and pry it out carefully. It is securely glued to the top case and very easy to break.

Since there are many continued to insist the touchbar cannot replace other than the whole topcase, I will just say this is how I removed the touch bar and it tool a while to finish with lots of back and forth checking.
