iPhone 6 greyed out wifi

My phone just randomly restarted and now the wifi and bluetooth are both greyed out. I low-key feel like apple decided to just turn it off because I haven't dropped my phone or damaged it in any way. Is there any way to fix it. Will buying and trying to fix the wifi antenna help?

Thanks

This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question.

The first thing you have to do is determine if the issue is at the modular component level or a board-level failure. Open up the device and check to see if the WiFi antennas are properly connected. There are a few antennas in the upper left hand corner so take a look at these guides to help you out.

If the antennas are well connected, then it could be a problem with the WLAN IC, which handles both the WiFi and Bluetooth functions. There’s not much you can do from a DIY perspective here but take a close look to see if there isn’t any signs of water damage as that is where the water tends to accumulate inside the device. It doesn’t take much water or other liquid to cause damage.

Does having the L-shaped antenna for (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / GPS) disconnected cause greyed out Wi-Fi?

@benjamen50 Good point, I didn't really latch on to the part about it being greyed out. Definitely a board level issue.
