Touch screen not working after glowing apple logo mog

Ok, I did the glowing apple logo mod on my IPhone 7 plus and now the touch screen won't work. It powers on but I cant punch in my code or use the screen. I watched many videos and read up on this mod and I am pretty sure I did everything right. I even disconnected the light to see if it would work then but it still won't. Please help..

I just noticed that this piece in my phone is cracked. Could this be the reason?

Which glow kit did you purchase? Some kits are better designed than others. But if it is connecting directly on the battery connector, the glow kit is probably not responsible for the Touch issues.

You will need to carefully inspect the flex cablescoming from the screen assembly as well as the connectors, both male and female, to insure there is no damage. Even the slightest tear or crooked pin can cause issues.

The component that you say is cracked contains several coils but none of them are directly involved in the Touch circuitry. For the most part, the touch circuit is embedded inside the screen so check your connectors and flex and if you have access to another screen, try that too.

My money is on you having either damaged the screen, or the line on the board responsible for touch. There is a resistor that could have been pried off or burned, causing no touch.

First try a new or a known good screen.

Second, if you have a microscope and a multimeter, you need to examine then probe the display connector on the board and compare to known good or similarly find the touch line and measure the resistor comparing to schematics.

No its not a reason, even I change my battery the touch ID will not work. Once you open the phone and change any spare the touch ID will not work. They design like that. from Iphone 7 , 8 model onwards.... to increase the apple service center sales high.......

and also avoid the local service center to grow....

No Touch ID does not become disabled unless you damage the home button cable.
