USB charging port on dash cam is broken -- is it repairable?

So I have this dash cam I bought off Amazon, a PAPAGO GoSafe 520. It lasted for a little under two years before it stopped charging last winter. Today I decided to try it again in case it just so happened to work again, and I noticed that the USB port was dislodged. I opened up the case to see what's in the two images included.

Is it possible to repair this with solder or something? Or is this a lost cause?

Hi

It seems that several pads are damaged and need to be repaired with microsoldering.

But I don't know this kind of connector, (8 pins ?)

If you use the port only for charging this could be possible using standard soldering technics and some potting glue to insure that the connector wouldn't move again. (Without reparairing the 2 missing pads, looking at the track it looks like a signal pair, so you won't be able to download/upload data but may charged the camera ?

But look at camera price first..

Thanks for the helpful response. I'm pretty sure the port (which is a standard mini USB port) is only used for charging, as all data is saved on a microSD card.
