What IC is neare Heatsink

Hello,

on my old 2009 MBP A1286 an IC burned near the headsink. It is so heavily burned that I can not read the printed numbers to identidy it. Does somebody know what it is?

q7660 think its a voltage converter

Thank you for the quick response. There is also a resistor or capacity next to the MOSFET that's also burned. Can anyone identify that also?

Chosen Solution

As correctly pointed out by Daniel is marked as Q7660 and it's a dual channel mosfet providing power to the Cpu. It's a Fairchild IC and can be found fairly easily under the code FDMS9600S by most major components suppliers around the globe.

Would have been better to have the board number, but from what I can see that should be a burnt capacitor, 1UF 10% 25v X5R in a package size 603-1. It's part of PPBus, the main 12,5v power line

You're welcome and good luck if you're planning to try repair. My only concern is that is a fairly big line, feeding power to a number of ICs..keep my finger crossed damage is limited to those two components.. ;)
