How do I replace the coil and the wires leading to the coil?

Hello, one my upper heating coil, one of the wires leading from the power to the coil has rusted and fallen away from the coil, so it doesn't heat. Is there a replacement wire assembly for this, and how do I open the griddler to detach and then reattach the new wiring to the griddler so that it will heat up again?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Karen - all the wires are steel WELDED in place,,, thats the rusting problem.

To repair, remove all rust from the burned post. A small raspy file is used. Skin the insulation back to rust free wire and wind 1-full-coil around the post. Now comes the difficult part.

It must be silver-soldered, or brazed, which requires a flame. I cannot explain the how-tos in this small box.

Do not attempt tape, sooper-glues, or try-this-stuff. These GeorgeFormanFryers can knock you down !
