Mac Book a1181's odd replace by macbook A1342's odd

i have two macbook.

however, my A1181's odd is not working

insert CD and motor working but can't mount then auto eject.

so i plan this

1.remove A1181'odd and replace by macbook A1342's odd

2. A1342's space replace by 9.5 mm SATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure @ $59.95 (Unibody Laptop Dual Drive)

3. original A1181's odd throw out

this plan is working ?

This is an excellent plan if you don't need an optical drive in the A1342. (I assume you don't)

Also, for the iFixit part you mentioned to work you will need another hard drive.

THX!!! You are smart:D i don't need odd cuz i have external HDD. it's almost support ODD function. i don't need spend money for odd parts so spend extra money. so i will buy samsung SSD 64GB!! SSD on main bay original hdd on 2nd bay

Yes, the A1342 and A1181 use the same ODD.
