My Clock's Pendulum Is Ticking Offset.

It sounds offset and after a few mins it stops completely. I have tried adjusting the height to raise the weight higher or lower i have tried not winding it very tight. I am stuck of what to do.

google this: "pendulum clock escapement adjustment" ... you will see several you tube videos that will cover this in probably more depth than you may care to know about.
