Stuck in headphone mode after lightning port replacement

A customer had snapped of their headphones in the audio jack on their iPhone 6. I replaced the whole lightning connector and headphone jack but it is still stuck in headphone mode. Headphones work whilst plugged in but it will not switch back to normal mode. Any suggestions?

you likely have a short in your new component. disconnect the charge flex from the motherboard, and see if it is still in headphone mode.

1) if it IS IN HEADPHONE MODE, then you likely have a board short from mishandling.

2) If it ISNT IN HEADPHONE MODE, then you likely have a flex issue, and you will need to re-replace the flex.

Hi,Thanks for this info. I have a similar problem and indeed the phone remains in headphone mode when the flex is disconnected. Is this then a problem with the connector on the board, you think? Any suggestions on what to do then?

Many thanks!

Is there a fix for when the iPhone stays in headphone mode even when the flex cable is disconnected?

Yes it is. The headphones work, even connected it to Bluetooth headphones but still stuck in headphone mode

When I say charge port connected I meant the ribbon cable from the logic board.
