I have a Panasonic TV model TC55CX420U and it will not turn on and there is no sound either. When I turn it on, with the remote or the TV button, the red light just comes on steady. One thing it does, back of set taken off, when I turn it on the red light turns on and in about 15 to 20 seconds I see light blink one time through the holes in the back panel, picture #2. I have replaced the power supply board but it does the same thing, picture #1. There are other boards but I really don't know the names, picture #3. Hope someone can help because it is the only smart TV in the house. Hope all this information helps. See images

@roxann2010 try to post some good pictures of the individual boards. The boards are not easily to inspect on the images you posted. The one time short blink of the screen sound like your backlight is coming on just to turn back off. The board on the bottom of your TV is your t-con board. It could be (unlikely) the fault Since you have no audio, this could be a standby issue as well as a failed main board. Check all board for leaking, domed looking capacitors or other obviously damaged looking components

Update (04/30/2018)

Check the fuse on the T-con board for a. continuity and b. for power once you have all the boards properly connected again.

You also want to check the sub t-con board for power in on J11 and power to the panel on J2. you may have to solder pigtails to the bottom nd measure the voltages as shown on the board.

you can of course further check that board by measuring the voltages on the test points (TP) all voltages are DC and your set has to be on for voltages to be measured. you do want to be careful that you do not shorten out components etc. with your test probes.

Update (05/29/2018)

On your main board (CV6488H-A )you should have two fuses. Check for continuity and check for power as well. Remember that your issues could be from the power board not supplying power to the backlight (you already replaced yours so that should have eliminate this) or from the main board for not turning it on etc., (my prime candidate at this time).

Had to borrow a picture online since yors is a "bit" fuzzy ;-) Interestingly enough the main board actually comes back as being for a Westinghouse WD50UT4300 TW-02601-A050G I wonder if they are rebranded? Does Toshiba not own Westinghouse? That would be bad for us since Toshiba is right up there with Apple, Vizio and other conglomerates that are as secretive as the Knights Templar without their sanctity. Not relevant to your problem, just interesting.

Update (05/30/2018)

++@roxann2010++  last test will be to test the connector on your power board as marked. The expected values are in a printed box above the connector. Interested in BL-On, PS/On and VSTB Let us know what those voltages are. Not sure about Panasonic TV’s but try to disconnect the cable from the power board to the main board. See if that turns the backlight on.

Hello oldturkey03; I added more pics to my original question. there are some duplicates but I think they are all there. The 3 boards along the bottom I didn't remove because I think the gold bands don't come off easy. Hope this helps because I sure could use the TV.

@roxann2010 yes I am glad you left that board. That is your driver board and connects to the panel. Don't want to mess with the flat ribbon cables just yet;-) Let's see if we can make something obvious out on your boards with the help of your pictures.

First two pictures are of the Panasonic 890-109-6M50 FRC Board

Pictures 3 and 4 are Main Board

Pictures 5 and 11 are of the T5500VN02.0 T-con board

Hello oldturkey03; I did as you advised and I posted the results in a picture in my original post. It shows at the top. By the way, what is (TP)?

Thanks for your help and let me know what to do after this.

TP stands for Test Point. Just another way of measuring the voltages. Right now the once listed look good. Let me check the schematic for more test.
