New display causing white flickering at top of screen

Hi,

I am replacing the display assembly on an iphone 6 plus. Everything works as normal however at startup the screen would often flicker and sometimes be unresponsive to touch. To be more accurate the flickering was a white lineor band that would rise and fall from the top of the screen and the display would become unresponsive or delayed..

The top flex cable connector to me feels loose compared to the origional.

Thx.

I would be sure this is a problem with the touch ic , not the screen .It is commonly known as touch disease. try lifting screen up while still on and connected and putting a fair amount of pressure on the main board (at the black area on shield below the screen connectors )with your thumb and see if the touchscreen responds while pressure is on.

if so then afraid you would need to have the touch ic replaced . It is expensive and requires micro soldering skill. Best left to professionals that have carried out this particular repair before .

I should have mentioned when I put the original screen back on the problem goes away.

You need to try another screen just in case. Sounds like a defective screen.
