Took off topcase and reseated heat sink...MacBook will not start!

I followed the guide for removing the topcase and the guide for replacing the heat sink. I couldn't get the arctic silver thermal paste so used a spirecoolers.com which i got at a local computer store.

Reassembled everything and now laptop won't turn on!

Please advise.

Update

Ok, thanks Majesty.

I did double check that; and it still wouldn't turn on. So I took out the battery and mag charger, held the on/off button for 10 seconds and put the battery and magcharger back on. Still nothing.

But then this morning, I tried checking and it worked! No idea why though....is there usually a delay in the startup process?

The first thing I would check id the ribbon cable that's connected to the LogicBoard from the topcase. Make sure that connector is properly seated. U should hear/feel a slight thump when the connector is fully seated. Check that first, then get back to us.

also if you remove the top case and can dis-connect the connector to the RTC battery (assuming your model has the external one). Its the backup battery. With that and the main battery disconnected, you should be able to plug in AC power and the machine should boot up
