Flickering / static on screen with integrated gpu

Hi, my Macbook Pro 15" mid 2012 is having a weird issue which is present only with the integrated intel hd 4000 gpu, on some apps or webpages, there is apparent screen flicker, or like a static effect which you can see in the video that i attached, as soon as I turn off auto graphics switching it stops, also youtube video playback sometimes gets jumpy when using iGPU, again with dedicated GPU it's gone. That's kind of weird, could the iGPU be failing? I know that it's a part of the CPU but I still find it kinda weird that integrated graphics could be failing, it's not a software issue since I tried a reinstall.
