Ps4pro Sounds like a jet, solution please?

So my Ps4pro sounds like a jet, I borrowed my friend's to compare and make sure, my friend's is whisper quiet in comparison. Even in 1080p it still sounds embarrassingly loud. I saw your post in YouTube about loud standard ps4 and how changing the fan solves the problem.

My question is, does the same fix work on pro too!? Are you positive that there won't be any "anomalies" after I have the fan replaced?

I'd appreciate the !&&* outta an good answer.

Update (05/12/2018)

So fan replacement didn't work either. I live in a place without official sony repair centers, can anybody help?

The definitive solution here:

Dont bother go into safe mode and do what most people say about noise reduction. The problem with the PRO models is the power supply limits the air flow.

1st a general thing is:

Make a good cleaning and apply MX-4 thermal paste on the APU. The perfect amount here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSgAoI_5... on 6:30 minuts

After that the IMPORTANTE PART is, on the power supply remove the metal shield and the top cover on the PSU and put back the botton plastic and the power supply board on the console with the cuicuit board striped. Be aware the power rails are dangerous (use gloves). Put the screws back in the right place and put back toghether the console cover and you are go to go.

I have my 7116b Pro model near the Xbox one X and i cannot here none of them working :-)

To get the idea i saw the solution here

Chosen Solution

Before replacing fan, try this way, in my case have solved completely:

- unassemble console

- replace thermal paste

- start to assemble console but when you mount backplate X element, mount it reversed (central sphere outside, corner far from mainboard)

- This make a better contact of chipset surface against heatsink

- Close console and try

In my situation (delta fan) my PS4 pro reduce loudnes from 70db to 50db in same situation and now rumor it's not always on but change based on activity on screen (more sense)

Bye

We shouldn't have to add or fix anything Sony is like any company that gets an ego they forget who got them where they are ....its us and our money and they released a console they knew was going to have issues and didn't even try and extend an olive branch to say to anyone trying to fix 3 days after I bought my ps4 pro it turned into a G6 jet so I called Sony they said 100 bucks to fix ...cause the thermal paste isn't theirs they use 3rd party and they don't cover that in your warranty nore should any store vouch for the return would you like the number to see if that company would help you ....so yeah Sony is my least favorite company now and probably will always be now ...and fyi I called 6 times and got that chicken $@$* excuse each time......people don't give Sony your money they don't respect the soul reason for being a successful company .....customer service is 100% in a successful business , they are just shakers and makers now goodbye Sony lol good luck with your bullshit

I sold my original ps4 console when the pro came out, it was far to loud due to the fan over working. Not even a full day on the pro and it starts doing the same thing

Also, have a can of compressed air on hand. There may be dust build up blocking the vent ports.

I always just blow on dusty stuff. it puts dust everywhere BUT whatever you were blowing. I deal with the mess later.
