Why is my voice sounding muffled to others during phone calls?

Hello, I have had a IPhone 6s for 2 years now, (it was originally one of the specific groups of iPhone 6s’ with faulty batteries, but got the battery changed by Apple.) after that, it worked fine until these last few weeks. It began when I called somebody and they said they couldn’t hear what I was saying. Later that same week a faulty headphone jack snapped inside my IPhone so I had to get a new charger port part from a third party repair shop.

I have researched on the internet to try and fix it, but to no avail. I’ve cleaned all microphones, switched on and off Noise cancellation, held my phone differently etc....People can hear me clearly when I use speakerphone, but then again I can’t really do this in public. Part of me is just thinking to get a new phone, Any suggestions? Thank you :)

Answer this question I have this problem too

The voice mic for phone calls is on the same cable as the headset jack that you have had replaced. If I understood you correctly the problem with the calls happened after you had the headset jack replaced. So it sounds like the new dock they put in your phone has a faulty mic.

The part for and Iphone 6s has the mic the lightning port and the headset jack all on the same cable. Also the main speaker sits on top of it in the phone. I would go back to the place you had the repair point out the mic does not work and as long as they are a decent repair place and offer warranty they will replace it for you.

if not you will need a new dock I would suggest you find a decent third party repair place that offers a warranty on there parts and when collecting you test all functions of the phone to make sure the repair has worked.

Sorry I should have been more clear, it begun before the headphone jack got replaced. I have recently been back to the shop and explained the problem, they said they would replace the part. I’m going to get it replaced today to see if it will help :)
