Hi. I bought this laptop 3 years ago and I barely used it. I don't travel with it or bring to school because it is too heavy as I also have books that I need to put in my backpack.
Do they allow swapping from MacBook Pro to MacBook Air?

There is no way to do an "even swap" for a Macbook Pro to a Macbook Air.
You can try selling it for cash and buy a used Macbook air. You will definitely lose on the deal. A Macbook air is lower in performance than a Pro.

Agree - you will just lost money and not only this is point. MacBoo Pro 2015 is a much more powerful with higher resolution than MacBook Air ( 2015 ) and weight ? MB Pro 1.58 kg vs MB Air 1.34 kg ? I don’t thing then you can even feel the difference. If you really need something light go with iPad / iPad Pro.
I have iPad Pro with keyboard and Apple Pencil and it’s almost same like my MacBook ( + Apple Pencil ly cool if I working with photos ). Only what is little “issue” that Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom don’t have so many functions like on MacBook.
