Display wont sleep when lid is closed?

I've tried the SMC and pRAM instructions on the apple site. I recently replaced the DC-in board 2 days ago, and now the battery indicator lights and status indicator light wont light up, and the laptop wont sleep when I close the lid. Any ideas?

The most likely problem with your MacBook not going to sleep is the reed switch. The reed switch is located in the upper case near the right border of the case on the IR sensor ribbon cable (it sits right under the plastic retaining block that's embedded in the hard drive cable).
