Start up problem - fans begin then fail, begin again, then fail,

G5 continues in this looping behavour.

Front LED lights only when pressed.

Does not shut down and have to pull the plug. Have changed the battery.

At first, it came back briefly and i went for back-up but mouse froze and could not do anything.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@chazzarnie consider removing multiple RAM if there is and test them one by one....

if this pc is used for some time, you might also need to check on the power supply.

Just reset the PMU. Mac started up but no response from keyboard or mouse? Managed to get boot disk (Tiger Install) but will not boot of the disk (C key held down also)
