Cannot connect iPhone7 to MacBook air

Hello Everyone,

I am facing an issue while connecting my iPhone 7 to MacBook air. It connects and disconnects rapidly. I have tried resetting the PRAM which did nothing, Then I reset the SMC after which I could connect my phone for maybe 2 mins before the problem reappeared. I've got High Sierra on the mac and iOS 11.3 on my phone. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Have you tried the other USB port?

I'm suspecting your system has a power issue with the USB ports. Get one of these great tools to monitor the voltage and current draw of your iPhone when plugged in USB Mini Voltmeter. If it shows the system can't support the needed voltage your system will need service.
