Why download my iPod is to be not using?
I charge my ipod and download the next day is to be not using . Why ?

You can try to press the pause button and pause the iPod so that it won't play through your library. Then wait a few minutes until the HD stops spinning. Other choice is to do a restore. there was also some issues with the hold button, try to switch hold off and on a few times and see if it works. You can also try to reboot it by holding menu+select again but wait until it completely reboots (dark apple becomes bright apple and then brings you the main menu). It now should shut down. Also,try to put the "Sleep" index on the main menu (which you can find in the settings). Good Luck and let us know if it is working for you.

Please tell us more about the problem. Did you leave it on over night? How long have you had the iPod and when did it start doing this? Anything you can think of that might help us narrow down the cause(s).

I brought the unit in May 2007, brand new with all accesories. I used it all the time and would charge the battery when it when dead. Last March I traveled and noticed that I would charge it over night and the
unit would not shut down and therefore the battery will go on waste. I stopped using the unit and put it away. Now I decided that i want to try
to fixed it to reload all my music. I have changed the battery and the ipod video click wheel. After installing it, unit works good, I can turn it on and off, however the battery
continues to go dead even if I do not use the unit. Please advises.
