So I saw the Axis CA160 universal cord, it looked fairly similar but I don't want to risk breaking my PS4, is it the same. If not where would i order a new power cable/cord.

It's a standard "figure 8" or "appliance cord" cable. Nothing special; about fifteen billion different things use them. That Axis cable will work fine.

D.I.Y. Take the cord to ACE-is-the-place Hardware.
The Guru will explain how to cut the chewed-end off, and sell you a new plug (which tastes really bad).
Cost < $5
Or, online order a new cord with the tasty plug from the fart-east for $2.
