Dropped 3GS now silent/virbrate switch will not work

Dropped my 3GS- Now the Silent/Vibrate switch is inop.

Connecting plug loosened?

Jeff,

Does the switch feel like it still has it's tactile resistance (i.e. does it still feel like it clicks when you toggle it). If there is no click feeling when you toggle the switch, the switch may have been bumped out out alignment with the circuitry. If the click sensation is there still, you will need to open it up and see if the ribbon came out of the connector inside. Worse case is that the fall damaged the logic board itself, but that is a slim chance. Check it out and let me know if you need any more help.
