Kindle won't open after this latest Samsung/AT&T update. Anyone hear a

My phone did the latest Samung/AT&T update Friday night (3/23/2018). Tried to download a book last night and it kept saying I didn't have an internet connection. I un/reinstalled the app and now it just gives me a black screen. Has anyone heard anything?

Still just getting a black screen after the initial open.

Go to Apps -->Kindle --> Permissions.

See if the Internet access is denied there.

All permissions are allowed. Still a black screen.

Ok, so that eliminates that suggestion.

Go to Apps and uninstall that specific version of Kindle.

Go to Settings --> Lockscreen and Security --> Allow "Unknown Sources".

There are many older versions of Kindle here:

See if one of the older versions works.
