My apple sport watch does not display the bottom third of its screen.

I always remove my apple sport watch before bed and hook it to charger. The other morning I picked it up to wear it and it would not recognize my password. I repeatedly tried to put in password to my dismay. I hard reset my watch and upon doing so when it finally came on, the bottom third of the screen does not light up.

I cannot find anyone in my town that works on these watches and Apple Support won't speak with me because I do not have insurance on it, and the warranty is up.

Any suggestions short of throwing it away?
