Hi I have a Macbook 13 inch mid 2009 model and my battery is swollen. How do I go about replacing it and taking it out?

It doesn't get much simpler than this battery change. Get a nickel or a dime and that's all the tools you'll need:

The battery seems stuck on the right hand side. I don’t want to pull something out I’m not supposed to
Unlock it first and pull up from the edge closest to the lock. You may have corrosion or battery leakage where it connects. If the plastic is separating from the battery, use a putty knife and insert it ( from the edge closest to the lock) so you are pressing on the metal bottom of the battery. The battery hooks into the right side so opening it is like opening a door.
